Itinerary

  • Arrival in Marrakech.
  • Free day to explore the city: Menara Gardens, Koutoubia Minaret, Saadian Tombs, where the central vault of Carrara marble stands out, and Bahia Palace, Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, declared a “World Heritage Site.”
  • In the morning, fruit sellers, wicker baskets, sweets, etc. In the evening, everything becomes fascinating when the square is illuminated with a thousand lights, and everything seems magical.
  • Night in Marrakech.
  • Departure will be from Marrakech towards the city of Taroudant.
  • We will cross the Asif Ounila Valley and the Tizi-n-Test, at 2,634 meters, which has always been the most commonly used natural passage to cross the High Atlas.
  • It is a mountainous route that offers us beautiful landscapes with different colors and villages practically hanging on the slopes.
  • Overnight in Taroudant.
  • We will depart from Taroudant towards the south, passing through Tafraoute, a Berber trading town surrounded by pink granite rocks and numerous well-preserved old houses.
  • We will continue towards Legzira beach, a natural wonder with two stone arches formed by erosion.
  • We will visit the beach and then continue the journey towards Agadir, where we will spend the night.
  • Exploration of the city of Agadir, formerly recognized as Santa Cruz del Cabo Aguer. Its origins trace back to the Portuguese establishment around the year 1500. An enriching experience awaits through traversing The Corniche, the scenic waterfront promenade, alongside exploring the harbor and its vibrant souk.
  • As the sun sets, the journey continues towards Essaouira, where accommodation for the night will be arranged.
  • We will visit Essaouira, also known by its former name, Mogadur. It is a Moroccan port city located on the Atlantic western coast, north of Cape Sim. It is the capital of the homonymous province in the Marrakech – Tensift – Al Hauz region. With a population of around 70,000, its medina or historic center has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2001. It served as a filming location for the series Game of Thrones due to its impressive walls.
  • It is common to see various water sports being practiced on its beaches, such as kitesurfing or surfing, thanks to its wonderful weather conditions and year-round presence of wind.
  • Afterwards, we will depart for Marrakech and transfer to the airport.

This itinerary offers a complete and diverse experience through some of Morocco’s most iconic cities. It begins with the exploration of Marrakech, a vibrant city rich in history and culture, highlighting places like the Menara Gardens, the Koutoubia Minaret, the Saadian Tombs, and the Bahia Palace. The famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square is also a must-see, especially as it comes alive in the evening.

The journey continues to Taroudant, crossing the impressive Asif Ounila Valley and the Tizi-n-Test mountain pass, offering panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains. From Taroudant, the trip heads south, passing through the picturesque town of Tafraoute, surrounded by unique rocky landscapes, and arriving at the spectacular Legzira beach, known for its imposing stone arches formed by erosion.

After enjoying the natural beauty of Legzira, the route leads to Agadir, a coastal city with an interesting Portuguese colonial past and a modern vibe. Here, you can stroll along its seaside promenade and visit the lively souk before continuing to Essaouira, a charming port city with a rich history and a laid-back atmosphere. Essaouira, with its UNESCO-recognized medina and impressive city walls, is also a popular destination for water sports thanks to its windy conditions year-round.

The trip concludes with a return to Marrakech, offering one last opportunity to enjoy the city before departure.
