Itinerary

  • Arrival in Tangier,
  • Pick-up and we continue to a panoramic visit of the city, especially the medina or the Grand Mosque.The 9 April Square stands out as one of the largest in the city and a meeting place for its residents.
  • Then, we will take the road toward Chefchaouen. The charm of Chefchaouen lies in getting lost in its narrow streets filled with small shops while observing its houses painted in blue and white.
  • You will spend night in a hotel/riad
  • Transfer to Midelt via Ifrane, Fez, and the vast cedar forests.
  • We will stop in Ifrane, known as the “Little Switzerland” of Morocco, which stands out for its Central European-style urban planning due to its cold winter climate (1,713 m).
  • We will also pass through Azrou, known for its cedar forests and the friendly monkeys that inhabit them.
  • We will spend the night in Midelt.
  • We will continue towards Merzouga from Midelt, passing through various towns, towards Erfoud, and through the well-known Ziz Valley.
  • Here, you can admire the contrast between the arid landscape and the lushness of the Ziz River’s banks and palm groves while observing the inhabitants’ daily lives along its shores. The Ziz River flows for about 300 kilometers until it reaches the Sahara Desert on the border with Algeria.
  • Around noon, we will arrive in Erfoud, known for its fossils and the marvelous desert roses, where we will have lunch. Afterward,
  • We will continue towards Merzouga, where we will arrive in the afternoonMerzouga is situated right at the foot of the giant dunes of the Sahara Desert, and those who wish can stroll on the sand and witness the sunset.
  • Overnight stay at the selected hotel.
  • We will wake up to the awe-inspiring Sahara Desert and visit the oasis of Merzouga and the village of Khamlia, where the Gnawa people (descendants of enslaved people from black Africa) reside and can enjoy their unique music.
  • Next, we will pass through a river of sand and have a panoramic view from a mountain to observe the desert in all its splendor.
  • We will then continue towards the village of Mefis, where there was a settlement of French workers who used to work in the kohl mines, which are now abandoned.
  • We will visit a nomadic family in the middle of the dunes and enjoy their company while having tea.
  • Return to the hotel for lunch, and in the evening, we will experience a camel ride for about an hour to reach a Berber campsite within the dunes.
  • There, we will have dinner in traditional tents (Hamas). Depending on the time of year, it may be possible to sleep under the stars and experience the wonderful tranquility that permeates the entire place.

  • Pasaremos por Rissani para visitar su mercado local y que fue una de las bases de las antiguas caravanas que atravesaban el Sahara hacia Tombuctú.
  • Pasaremos por distintos pueblos bereberes hasta llegar a Fez.
  • Visita de la ciudad y se hará noche en Fez.
