Itinerary

  • Pick-up from the airport and transfer to the hotel.
  • Free visit to the city.
  • Night in Marrakech.
  • Departure towards Ouarzazate.
  • We will cross the Atlas Mountains, passing through the highest point in the country, known as Tichka Pass.
  • We will make several stops in typical Berber villages and panoramic viewpoints and at an argan oil cooperative. Argan is a local product, and they will explain its production process and numerous benefits.
  • By midday, we will arrive in Ouarzazate, the mecca of Moroccan cinema.
  • We can visit the Tarourit kasbah, the former residence of the Pasha of Marrakech and one of the best-preserved kasbahsin Morocco.
  • We will also take the opportunity to visit the museum dedicated to the films shot in the area.
  • We will pass through the Dades Valley, visiting the famous “monkey fingers,” a rock formation that has taken curious shapes.
  • Overnight stay in the Dades Valley.
  • Departure towards Merzouga, passing through the Todra Gorges, where we can enjoy a beautiful walk along the river, observing its small waterfalls. It is a popular area for climbers seeking new thrills.
  • We will pass through the palm grove of Tinghir, where we can witness the impressive contrast between its lushness and the surrounding arid landscape until we reach the city of ErfoudErfoud is a paradise for fossil enthusiasts, as water once covered the area.   • We will head to Merzouga, in the desert.
  • Overnight stay in a hotel facing the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
  • Visit the Merzouga oasis and the village of Khamlia, where the Gnawa people live (descendants of enslaved people from sub-Saharan Africa) where they can enjoy their unique music.
  • Afterward, we will pass through a sand river and have a panoramic view from a mountain to observe the desert in all its splendor.
  • We will continue towards the village of Mefis, where French workers settled in the abandoned kohl mines.
  • We will visit a nomadic family amid the dunes and enjoy their company over tea.
  • Return to the hotel for lunch, and in the evening, we will embark on a camel ride for about an hour to spend the night in a berber camp in tents within the dunes.
  • Return to the hotel for shower and breakfast. Departure towards Ouarzazate.
  • Stop in Rissani to visit its local market. It was a significant city in the past due to its strategic location connecting the north and the south, where numerous caravans passed through.
  • We will also pass through the Draa Valley, one of the largest in Morocco, where numerous kasbahs served to defend the region.
  • We can take walks in the palm grove on different occasions and appreciate the temperature change as we enter.
  • We will have lunch in Agdz, where we can visit the Tamnougalt kasbah, before reaching Ouarzazate, where we will spend the night.
  • We will wake up in Moroccan Hollywood and visit the film studios where movies like Gladiator or Babelwere filmed.
  • We will then take the road back to Marrakech, stopping at the ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This location has also been featured in films like The Mummy or Kingdom of Heaven. It was a resting point for caravans, where travelers exchanged camels for horses to cross the mountains.
  • Afterward, we will continue winding roads with stops at scenic viewpoints until we reach Marrakech.
  • Transport to the hotel or airport and this is the end of our services.
