Itinerary

  • Pick up at Tangier Airport at the arrival time of your flight, with a sign displaying the name of our agency, Unique Morocco Experience, and the start of the journey towards Chefchaouen, a mysterious town founded as a secret place from which to attack the Portuguese settled on the northern coast of the country.
  • Entry to the town was completely prohibited to Europeans until the arrival of Spanish troops in 1920. It is located within a natural biosphere reserve.
  • Chefchaouen is a holy city perched on the mountainside, with its streets painted white and blue. It is a town of wise, kind, and respectful people, offering visitors beautiful urban landscapes on a slope, lovely samples of local crafts, and a peace and serenity that is hard to find today.
  • Arrival in Chefchaouen and free afternoon. Accommodation in a riad in the medina.
  • After breakfast, we will depart for Fez from the picturesque blue city.
  • On our way, we will stop to admire the historic city of Fez, one of the first political, religious, and cultural capitals of Morocco.
  • We will begin our visit at the impressive Golden Gates of the Royal Palace, and then delve into the ancient medina, surrounded by walls, where we will enjoy its spiritual beauty.
  • Throughout our tour, we will explore mosques, madrasas, caravanserais, and other religious sites, ending in the famous tanners’ quarter.
  • In the evening, we will stay in a charming riad.
  • After breakfast, we will depart from Fez towards Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its unique architecture.
  • We will continue our journey to Azrou, a Berber village located in the largest cedar forest in Morocco.
  • We will cross the city of Midelt, famous for its minerals and apples, and travel through the impressive Ziz Valley, making a stop in Erfoud to learn about its fossil products.
  • Finally, we will venture into the desert, where we will leave the car to ride camels and spend an unforgettable night in the heart of the desert.
  • We will wake up early to watch the sunrise in the desert.
  • After breakfast, we will visit the Rissani market, known for being frequented by desert nomads.
  • Next, we will explore Erfoud and its fossilized marble factory before heading to the lush palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad.
  • We will arrive at the impressive Todra Gorge, where we will have lunch and enjoy the tranquility of the place.
  • In the afternoon, we will head to the charming Dades Valley, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
 
  • After breakfast, we will explore the picturesque Valley of the Roses and Skoura.
  • Next, we will visit the famous fortified Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, known for being the setting of movies like “Babel” and “Gladiator.”
  • After lunch, we will cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech, where we will spend the night in a riad located in the medina.
  • After breakfast, we will begin the guided tour of Marrakech, a city famous for its Jemaa el-Fna square, which will take up much of your time: an amalgam of unique aromas, sounds, and sensations. The city also offers countless places to wander and enjoy, such as the Majorelle Gardens, the Menara, the Saadian Tombs, walks through the medina or the mellah (the old Jewish quarter), the tour of the city walls, and the modern city (Gueliz) with its Western lifestyle.
  • Accommodation will be in a riad in the medina of Marrakech.
  • Breakfast and free time to continue exploring the city at your own pace.
  • Later, transfer to the airport to catch your return flight.

Overview

This 7-day tour of Morocco offers a rich cultural, historical, and natural experience, starting in Tangier and culminating in Marrakech.

We begin in Tangier, exploring its medina and the famous Cape Spartel. From there, we head to Tetouan, known for its well-preserved medina and Andalusian heritage. Continuing on, we journey to Chefchaouen, the “Blue City“, where we’ll enjoy its picturesque streets and vibrant atmosphere.

Next, we travel to Fez, one of Morocco’s earliest capitals, where we explore the ancient medina, mosques, madrasas, and the tannery quarter. We then venture into the desert, passing through the “Switzerland of Morocco“, Ifrane, and the Berber village of Azrou, famous for its cedar forest. Crossing Midelt and the Ziz Valley, we arrive in Erfoud, renowned for its fossil products. In the desert, we trade our vehicle for camels and spend an unforgettable night under the stars.

At sunrise, we visit the market in Rissani, frequented by nomads, and explore a fossilized marble factory in Erfoud. We continue to the impressive Todra Gorge for lunch and to soak in its serene atmosphere, before reaching the Dades Valley for dinner and overnight stay.

The tour also includes exploring the Valley of Roses and Skoura, and a visit to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a backdrop for numerous films. After crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains, we arrive in Marrakech, where we’ll enjoy the vibrant medina and stay in a charming riad.
